Something to think about as we start a new week. The ones who are truly capable always find a way to win even in the direst circumstances. The key is- not to settle for mere survival (could be at a job or life in general), but to aspire to bloom and flourish! When we make that unbending decision to succeed, success always seems to follow...

Today we wind down 2018 and get ready to welcome 2019. It is a day when the greatest number of resolutions are made. Many people want to get out of their old situations and jump into new ones. But what we need to realize is that not all old situations are ‘bad’. If you are being undervalued or not challenged enough at your current work place or have a particularly bad working environment, then that is different. Frankly, in that event, I would say- you should have left it a long time ago and not waited for the year end! But that aside, many a times people quit because they do not see progress. That is when it is helpful to remember your vision which made you start out on a specific path. Before any steps are taken, one needs to calmly evaluate the scenario, in a very non-biased manner as if conducted by a third person. Are things simply not working out, or you need to “up your game”? Maybe you need to get better at what you do, learn more skills, get better at marketing and networking and so on. When we have clarity of purpose and determination, we can truly reach for the moon and not settle for the stars. There are many reasons why we do not see success. We cannot predict the outcome, but we definitely need to ensure that we are doing our absolute best and that, it is in alignment with what is needed for success in that specific venture. For the last post of 2018, here is a thought for each one of us…

Every day we read of research findings that indicate how we stop being productive when we work over 'certain number of hours' in a week. But that applies to people who do a 'job'. For the people who love their work, it is their passion and work is fun. This is the secret why entrepreneurs, top successful athletes seem to be "working" all the time- but they are always vibrant and effective! Something to think about as we start out a new week. Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead... #InspiringQuotations #SandhyaUBhat #QuotesbyConfucius #LoveyourWork #ThoughtfortheWeek
We all have our own definition of success and what makes us feel "arrived". My personal definition has been quite simple as explained by this quote. It was a conscious decision a few years ago, that “I will choose how my life unfolds”- not the day to day contents (those happen as a result from our choice). My decision was that “I will choose with clarity and certainty what I do and do not want to manifest in my life and then make my choices accordingly”. And above all, I will choose my response to people and life-events. This is something we need to do. We must ensure that we are choosing wisely- that we are living each day to the fullest and feel the joy- inside and out. Something to think about as we wind down for the weekend. Happy Weekend everyone...

As I read thru various key social media feeds and forums, it seems like people everywhere are looking for innovative change, in their personal and business surroundings. There seems to be a kind of tiredness of doing the same things- stuck in a rut and earning a paycheck but feeling ‘dead inside’. Change is inevitable. But it needs to be steered strategically to bring in proper value and benefits. But first we need to admit that our current direction is not taking us towards our goals and dreams. Something to mull on over the weekend… #personaldevelopment #changemanagement #SandhyaBhat It is important to ensure that we have the correct team member. A good team which comprises of members with not just the required competencies and expertise, but also have a good blend of personality and commitment is extremely essential for delivering a successful project. As you pick your team, make it a point to ensure that you have a good mix of people and personalities… #SandhyaBhat #SelectingTheTeam #TeamPlayer
In today's "instant reward" based world, it is easy to forget that building anything of value takes time. Here is an inspiring quotation to start off this week. Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead... #MotivationalMonday #InspiringQuotations #SandhyaBhat
Now-a-days when most people think of success, they think of striving, outrunning everyone else to become the solo “winner”! Even in team sports, where one needs to have complete support of the entire team we see those who incessantly work to ensure that maximum spotlight is on them. Don’t get me wrong. It is great to be a “winner” and be appreciated for being No. 1. But, not everything in life needs to be a race. Most interactions at work or in personal life involve group of people and when we have a true team mind-set it makes others trust our work, our motives and then they provide us unchallenged support. This in turn helps us to arrive at the top not just as an individual but as a team. When we continue to do the right things with the right attitude sooner or later we will be recognized and shine thru- to avail that recognition that most of us want and crave. Wise words from one of world’s leading inventors- something to think about as we start with a fresh new week… #InspiringQuotations #ThoughtfortheWeek #HenryFordQuotes
