A map can help us to get from point A to point B. In addition, it can also give us much information about the topography- i.e. various kinds of geographical areas that we will pass thru e.g. mountains, forests and so on. This added information can help us to better plan and execute our drive.
So, how can this help us with our Customers? We can create a Customer Journey Map that provides us a realistic view of the journey your customer takes with your product or service. A Customer Journey Map will help you to:
Once you have this information then you can utilize it to create products and services which are a better fit for your customers. You can also ensure that their experience with your product/service and your organization is pleasantly memorable. After all, happy customers tend to be loyal customers.
Basically, a Customer Journey Map can help with increasing Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty. These in turn, help in maintaining and even increasing your Brand Equity.

There are many social media platforms. For individual professionals, it gets difficult to manage their exposure across multiple avenues and so it is important to choose specific platforms and then create a meaningful social media marketing strategy. Here is a list of six of the most popular social media platforms along with their best exposure benefits. Depending on your individual needs you can focus on couple of these to get started…
LinkedIn:Linked In is most suited for professional and business networking- right from typical 'white collared' to artistic and expressive professions. Associated Slide-Share allows one to easily showcase work examples.
Twitter:Twitter is best if you are looking to engage your audience in a conversation. Great for sharing information, asking or answering questions or soliciting opinions. It is also very helpful for publicizing links to published content like on your blog or company website.
Instagram in great for brand promotion. A picture paints 1000 words and if you have images that convey your message then Instagram allows you to reach wider audience (currently second only to Facebook) with your photos and videos.
Pin-boards allow you to showcase visually impressive content and plays a crucial role in brand promotion. Particularly effective for content targeting women. Pins need to provide standalone value, so that followers will be willing to re-pin and save.
Facebook is one of the best social media platforms for Businesses to market their products. When it comes to individual professional advancement, it can be quite helpful for media and other creative professionals. Anyone can have a professional page on Facebook to showcase their work and by using unique marketing ideas, one could create a good buzz and obtain widespread exposure.
Similar to Facebook, YouTube is great for creative, media and other professionals to showcase their work and directly reach their target audience. Taking good meeting notes and sharing the minutes with all the participants to ensure all are on the same page is very important. Though it may seem tedious at first, but with proper structure and a little practice, one can get quite adept at taking great notes and to top it up, this is not just helpful in meetings, once learnt this becomes second nature and helps with taking good notes at seminars, learning sessions and so on.
Above all- it develops the ability to hear, think thru, interpret and sort thru necessary/unnecessary information and finally to convert it to brain signals that jot it down (or type it out, as I prefer). Jotting down notes during meetings and conversations, helps to train our brain to faster assess and evaluate asymmetric information packets, make meaningful sense out of them and then take relevant/apt action.
This is a very helpful skill to develop if you aspire to be a leader- within your team, organization or any greater group. We are surrounded by asymmetric information and the faster one is able to process, analyze and evaluate a scenario, a situation; that much more easily you will be able to evaluate the best course of action- a necessary trait for a leader and any person who aspires to create and re-create an improved, enhanced version of themself.
